April 2024 Newsletter

On Sunday 10th March we gathered together some of the higher grades adults and children for some extra training on the higher grade syllabus. The main emphasis for the session was to explain in more detail the applications for the techniques within the forms. These explanations are not so easy to give to the more experienced students when in a mixed class with beginners. Everyone took the infomation on board, improving their standard and enjoyed the session enough to ask for another in April.

The next time we shall get together will be on sunday the 14th April 2024 from 10am to 12noon. For more information please speak to Tracy...

Despite fewer people attending the FIGHT Club on Saturday the 23rd March, we would like to thank all of the participants their enthusiasm and not stop training during the session. We were very pleased to welcome new participants into the fold. The feedback received from them is very encouraging for the future Fight Club get togethers, thank you...

It was good to see everyone taking advantage of the opportunity to try a sparring with new people at a level of their choice. Please note: Agree the rules first, then spar.

The two Joint Chief Instructors appointed in accordance with Grandmaster Hans last wishes ie; Nigel Gilham and Richard Timmis, are very pleased to host this course / exchange along with other regional Senior Instructors from the group.

Over the two days the emphasis will be placed on experiencing, a variety of partners for contact practice, equal sharing of knowledge, technical skills and interpretations, and friendship.

For those that would like to come and train Kung Fu, this class is on Thursdays from 5pm to 6pm (+8 yrs)...
