Due to popular demand, on Sunday the 14th of April we were pleased to hold another of the Xtra Training Sessions for the higher grades with the club. With these high grades we were able to cover a wide range of topics including an introduction to the weapons and weapon sparring (set routines) within the syllabus. It was an ideal opportunity for those wishing to take part in the grading on the 11th of May to practice with other high grades and some of the adults.

It was a great day of sparring and swapping techniques across a range of partners and formats. With fewer of us, we decided to focus more on timing and distance while trying to improve accuracy. We are looking forward to sparring with more like minded people so get in touch for more information...

We would like to move from theory into practice by using the applications from the Nan Shaolin WUzuquan Sanzhan Form in a the most interactive was possible by catching the form and sparring sets (for rehearsed practice) and subsequently applying in more unrehearsed formats like pushing hands (for close quarter clinching) and free sparring.
