Fight Club, Open Mat Sparring

The Fight Club Open Sparring Event on Saturday the 6th December was a smaller affair as we approached Christmas but, the people that came along made it an excellent session. We were please to welcome Andrew from as far away as Southern Ireland and David from Manchester. They are both avid Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan students. A very technical hands on technique training opportunity was seized !!!

We were pleased to see more youngsters come along to to practice their free sparring training. Changing partners and picking up tips from Jenga added to their enthusiasm and proved to be really encouraging. Well done !!!

The next Fight Club will be on the 7th February from 12:15pm to 4pm...

For those that would like to come and train Kung Fu, this class is on Thursdays from 5pm to 6pm (+8 yrs)...

Sunday 18th JAN - High Grades Xtra Training. Invitations will be sent to those that are eligible to attend.

Saturday 31st JAN - Chinese Kungfu Grading for adults and juniors. Please speak to your instructor to ensure that you are ready to grade.

Saturday 7th FEB - Fight Club, Open Mat Sparring for hands on, interactive training. Select from many options to suit your training needs and objectives... Usual Rules Apply !!!

China KIXX Visit - Nigel and Tracy

sOver Christmas 2025, Nigel and Tracy (KIXX) were very lucky to be able to visit friend and Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan Master Zhang Xiaofeng at his home in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China. Although there was slight diplomatic aspect to the visit to strengthen the bond between the Nan Shaolin in China and the UK / EUR Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan – Han Jin Yuan club. The priority for us was to meet friends, make new friends and enjoy a holiday break over the Christmas Festive Season.

We have a few photos but sadly we cannot fully convey the friendly, open and inclusive welcome we were given throughout our stay. We stayed at Master Zhang's Wu Lin hotel in Quanzhou. It was humbling to be invited to various clubs, perform in demonstrations and be considered as ambassadors for our Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan – Han Jin Yuan.

Some of the places we visited included; the Nan Shaolin Temple, Qing Yuan Mountain, Kai Yuan Temple, Kai Yuan Road, Yong Shan Road, Nan Tai Temple, the Quanzhou museum, Licheng Xin Bu Guo Shu Guan school, No. 7 Middle School, Luo Yang Bridge and ancient town...
