KIXX Instructor
I started training with John McGregor in 1997 studying Kung Fu. In 1998 John invited me to meet Nigel and Andy. It was down to John that I am here now.
I started at KIXX studying Chang Chuen Shu – Chinese Boxing, and also the Wushu. My main aim when I first started training was to reach black belt status. After years of training and hard work I achieved this in 2005. I also achieved my 4th Level in the Wushu. I developed a hunger for competitions and had a go at my first comp in 2002. Over the years I have had reasonable success in regional, national and international events. The highlights include, travelling to Holland to compete and winning my first gold medal. I also enjoy competitions with multiple disciplines this way you can see And Appreciate the other forms of martial arts.
Now that I have reached my goals I have no others as yet but to keep on training and keep on learning (learning never ends). I also enjoy keeping fit in other ways which include running and gym work. Fitness and well being is very important to any martial art.
I have been at KIXX for many years now and have never felt the need to train anywhere else as yet. I get all I need from one place – good atmosphere, good training, good knowledge and its fun too.
