Please note that there will be a Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan TONFA Course at KIXX Martial Arts on the 2nd June 2013. The price of the course will include a set of Tonfa. It is urgent to book early to reserve your place and ensure that the Tonfa will be available in time.

KIXX Chinese Boxing – Black Sash Gradings

The Black Sash Grading was held on the 2nd December 2012. There were four people taking their grades; two at 1st Dan Level and two at 2nd Dan Level. The hall was very cold and added to what promised to be a difficult and very hard won grading.

Assistance was given to the 1st Dans by Steve May and Marcus. Assistance for the 2nd Dan sparring sets was provided by Tracy. The refereeing for the sparring was provided by Marcus and Dink. The sparring proved to be very contentious with a commendation to Matt Jones for his effort on the day. The breaking of the tiles was ‘touch and go’ with more than apparent nerves on display. Despite some errors bothe the 1st Dans completed the task in the alloted time.

CHINA 2012 – BACK IN THE UK – INFORMATION…

China 2012

BACK IN THE UK, Lots to report…

There will be a more detailed write up of the trip to China to follow but here are a few photos…

Some notable moments and advance information:

- The competition meetings at the Overseas Hotel were very illuminating. The competition planned for Quanzhou, China in September 2013 will be an unbelievably brilliant event!!!

- The workout with the Shaolin students at the Nan Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou… AMAZING!!! Shigong Han passing high level technique to the students and being able to take part was excellent.

- Having dinner with the Abbott and experiencing the most amazing vegetarian food was out of this world. I could be a vegetarian with food like that!! Deep fried Durian mmmmm.

- Sharing illuminating and very helpful (uninterupted) conversations with Grandmaster Han on a number of occaissions throughout our stay. A complex man and a brilliant martial artsist.

- The information that was exchanged in the meetings in the coffee shop was amazing. Many thanks James, Lilley and Johnny (Australia).

- A good friend, Xiao Feng and his help throughout the trip. Xiao Feng’s brother..Cheers

- Visting the new school as a guest of Mr Huang Wen Zheng. A fantastic place that with the help of the Chinese government is pleased to have excellent facilities for both children and adults to train and develop in.

- KIXX Martial Arts will be putting forward club members for the UK Team to compete in China in 2013. The events will be based around the Southern Shaolin martials arts and will include; Hand Forms, Weapon Forms, Set Hand Sparring Routines, Set Weapons Sparring Routines, Full-Contact Free Sparring with fingerless gloves (Rules to follow).

Shigong Han – Wuzuquan – Unique BOOKS

This is an excellent and unique series of sought after books detailing the Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan System that is based in Quanzhou, Southern China.

The author Shigong Kim Han, has been acknowledged as a 10th Dan level by the most senior panel of masters in China and is sought after and respected as one of the most knowledgeable experts in this field of martial arts.
